Electric toothbrushes have been
proven to be at least 25% more effective than manual
toothbrushes. These toothbrushes usually have heads
which either vibrate or rotate; some brushes also
use sonic waves to help dislodge plaque and debris.
There are many different makes
and models around and they can be both non-rechargeable
and rechargeable. Many of the leading brands use standard
cells such as AAA or AA Alkaline, NiCd or NiMh (see
the list below); however many toothbrushes out there
use specially designed batteries often with obscure
product codes not commonly recognised by even the
toothbrush manufacturer.
We have had many enquiries regarding
replacement toothbrush batteries and for this reason
we have begun to build up a database of batteries
specifically designed to replace existing toothbrush
batteries. Below is a list of both standard and specially
designed batteries for electric toothbrushes.
